What about PATTERNS?
All students must purchase a CURRICULUM PACKET which includes all paper patterns and a full-colour instruction booklet for approximately a year of learning. Each project builds upon the previous one, growing skills and confidence at your child’s own pace.

Calgary Sewing School is pleased to offer kids’ sewing lessons using the Kids Can Sew Curriculum!
Kids Can Sew is a tried and true children’s sewing curriculum that has existed for over 40 years. Curriculum is well-organized, fun, and intuitive for kids.
Curriculum Packet ($70) includes:
Six to Eight full-sized paper patterns (multi-sized)
Full colour instructions that are designed, written, & illustrated to help students gain a solid foundation of sewing in a way they can understand.
**We embrace kids of all gender expressions. The Kids Can Sew curriculum is divided into pattern categories “Girls” and “Boys”, but students can choose whichever suits them best!
Girls’ Level 1What are the projects? Large and Small sized Bag, Pants, Skirt, 2 Tops, Pillow, Nightgown
These Patterns generally fit girls AGES 6-12
Chest: 22 inches (56cm) to 36 inches (91.5cm)
Hips: 22 inches (56cm) to 38 inches (96.5cm)
Boys’ Level 1
What are the projects? Backpack, 2 styles of shorts, top, 2 pillows
These Patterns generally fit boys AGES 6-12
Chest: 25 inches (63.5cm) to 36 inches (91.5cm)
Hips: 26 inches (66cm) to 38 inches (96.5cm)
What if my child doesn’t fit the above measurements?
Kids Can Sew also offers a Teen Curriculum which is more size inclusive. Email hello@calgarysewingschool.com for more information.

Mondays 5:30-7pm (one class only at this location)
***Classes run TWICE A MONTH***

January 12 & 26, February 9 & 23, March 9 & 30, April 13 & 27, May 11 & 25, June 8 & 22
Each class has limited capacity to maintain small class sizes. Instructor to student ratio is one to four.

Registration Finances:
Your credit card will be charged for January’s classes on the date of registration, then on the first of each month thereafter from February to June.
30 days’ notice is required to cancel enrolment in a class.
Refunds/Make-ups/Credits
Refunds, make-up classes and credits are not provided for missed or unused classes. If the instructor cancels a class, a make-up class may be provided or tuition may be pro-rated.

Class Registration uses a Subscription model to facilitate monthly payments.
Don’t forget to purchase your mandatory Curriculum Packet.
Your child will use the Kids Can Sew Curriculum to learn to sew. Your child will receive their very own Kids Can Sew Workbook and Pattern Packet during their first class. It is theirs to keep using for as long as they take classes with us. Curriculum Packets contain enough material for approximately 1 school year of learning to sew.
